From the College Website National College of Engineering, Maruthakulam is an ISO 9001:2000 certified Muslim minority institution approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated to Anna University, Tirunelveli. The college was inaugurated by Her Excellency, the then Governor of Tamil Nadu, Justice Ms. M. Fathima Beevi on 7th September 2000.
The college is situated in a beautiful, quiet and enchanting environment silhouetted by the blue mountains of the Western Ghats and flanked by the greenery of the sprawling 300 acre Mayaneri Farm owned by Manarul Huda Trust. Maruthakulam where the college is located is just 3 km from Moondradaippu, 20 km from Tirunelveli on the Tirunelveli-Nagercoil National Highway (NH 7).
The campus has multistoried buildings consisting of well provided air-conditioned class rooms, drawing halls, workshop, seminar halls, library, computer centres, staff rooms, student rest rooms and an auditorium. Facilities for indoor and outdoor games are provided. Well-furnished hostels, staff quarters, guest house, canteen and telephone booths are available.
Within the short span of seven years since its inception NCE has made many creditable achievements. The four batches of students who have passed out of the institution have produced excellent results in all the courses offered.
The vast majority of NCE alumni have been gainfully employed in well-established and reputed organizations. Every year a large number of our final-year students get placement in major multinational companies like Wipro, TCS, CTS, US Technology, Hexaware Technologies, Satyam Computers, Infosys, L & D etc.
